England 2010 Defender 90 Puma 2.4 HT Stornoway Grey
Serpentine/ Drive Belt
Anybody got any tips??

Struggling to get it back together.

2.4 Puma.

just a belt change. Old one off no issue. Tensioner off too.

New one matches the old one..all good.

Routed correctly ( Fan is still on)

What is the method to get it back on with spring tensioner?

As I stated ... Struggling!!! Big Cry Big Cry Big Cry

Cheers

You didn’t need to take the tensioner off. Careful use of a lever bar / crowbar will do it but watch fingers!

Bear in mind there are two belts, AC and Non AC. With the former being longer and the latter being shorter.
I assume you have the correct one though anyway.

On mine I found it was tricky to put back on, but ensured it was on all the way around except for the side closest to the brake master cylinder upper left.
Ease the tensioner back, and you should be able to slip it back over keeping fingers out of the way.

Be sure to check it is pull seated on all the pulleys before starting.
Also bear in mind mine is non AC but the same similar principle applies.

When you fit the tensioner back on, I believe there is a torque setting for it. Again, I assume you likely have it.
