I have the wireless Garmin Version which displays on the sat nav screen in mine and im really happy with it.
But it maybe an expensive option if you dont already have a suitable Garmin Sat Nav. I didnt mean any offence ref the search button, but alot of the time somewhere in a thread there maybe in the info your looking for 2015 HT XS 90 2008 SVX 90 2000 XS TD5 90 |

Personally I'd start with an Optimill number plate light/rear camera and work my way forward.
No idea of the camera quality but it looks great. WARNING. This post may contain sarcasm. |

Like Sulisuli I have two Garmin cameras, one for reversing and one for viewing the interior of the horse trailer. I know the Garmin wireless cameras are a little pricey but I didn't want another screen in addition to the Sat Nav and was put off by some of the interior mirror screens as they restricted the use of the sun visors. Hello a few years ago I did a post on a separate little screen and a wired camera I fitted in numberplate plinth.
I didn't want to drill any new holes...it worked great. Since then I have fitted a double din head unit and the same camera plugs into this Great bit of kit to get very close if you want and back up to trailers. The view is not quite central but it works very well. The version I did with a screen probably cost under £30 Click image to enlarge |

I did a lot of research when I first bought my truck and went for one of the TOGUARD units off amazon for about £100
These are a mirror that clips over your mirror. they have a dash cam built in, touch screen interface and a rear view camera (wired) but easy to install as it's just a thin wire up to the mirror unit from the 12v lighter socket and then a small lead run to the rear camera.. It was absolute c%%p. Went back in the box after a day's use. Looked utterly reduculous in a defender cab and instead I went for a double din unit with a £20 camera where the rear jet is. Can't be happier. PCM |
