Caterham Buggy ~ The Grand Tour
Will be interesting to see how this combo actually works. The basic idea does have form, albeit not on such large tyres:

At least the KC Daylighters are cool - I think I'll keep my dreams of the Ariel Nomad though....

It's a cracking principle, the 7 does have quite limited suspension travel though! 2003 Defender 110 TD5 SW

Hmmmm, I do like that... Christmas is coming.

Only trouble is my toy fund is about £50k short at the moment and although I think you can register an Atom in France, not sure about the Nomad though.

Plus doing some research about a Unimog with a crane at the moment which would plug my Tonka toy requirements and help with the next stage of the building work here.

proper had me laughing, its still so much better than the new top gear

this could be the next new concept for all those 7 clones

looks like a good idea and good fun,

I'm assuming they must have altered the diff ratio somewhat to make up for the size of the tyres and the front suspension looked very vulnerable

possibly fitted a LSD? DEFENDER 90 TDCI XS,

I hope everyone is well and your land rovers make you happy

Possibly also the first time a Caterham has ever been fitted with a winch!

I wish they'd make a "the making of ..." or "behind the scenes" film of one of these programs, I would love to get a better idea of the logistics, engineering, etc., that goes into one. The glimpses we get on the boat (showing, I think, two 110 Defenders as well as load of other support vehicles), and also some of the glimpses in the old film when they fled Argentina, give some indication.

Indeed, they did show and mention one of the support 4x4s stuck at the side of the road, budget must be pretty big.

Id say best job in the world DEFENDER 90 TDCI XS,

Willman did give some hints into the post production side of things a while back. I can't remember the specifics but it was many days or weeks simply to upload all the footage shot up to the servers for review.

Then months to simply watch through the footage to try and come up with some form of sequence. Ed
