Let's look at the facts...the 29 kNm/degree is an impressive number, three times more rigid than the average passenger car.

Is it though? It may be the stiffest aluminium Land Rover body, but have a look at this site;
http://youwheel.com/home/2016/06/20/car-bo...sive-list/

The L322 Range Rover was 32kNm/degree and even the Freelander 2 was 28kNm/degree.

For it to be three time more rigid than the average passenger car, the average passenger car would need to be less than 10kNm/degree. You have to look long and hard to find something this bad; Dodge Neon, mkIII Fiesta from 1989, Vauxhall Corsa C from 2000.

My Mercedes has an aluminium monocoque and has 40.5kNm/degree stiffness. The new Jaguar I-Pace is 36kNm/degree. I think this says more about the (lack of) stiffness of other Land Rover aluminium bodies than the exceptional stiffness of the new Defender.

Cracking post Thumbs Up

You have actually shared some real facts, and bust some marketing Censored put out by JLR.

That dirt has been sprayed on, never in my Land Rover life have I ever got dirt positioned like that.

Guess that's another urban option.....

It's on the options list, in-between the rear power take-off and chaff guard.

👍 Clean rear door glass without wiper mark.
I can’t see out of mine way before the sides get that dirty.

Its been 'dressed' for its roll in the film, I suspect real dirt my not give the required effect.

That 110 has been knocked about. 130's have feeling's as well you know Smile

Imagine watching the movie and every shot the car has a different amount of dirt on it every time. Would look kinda dumb. Also, the did install a hydraulic handbrake in it. Not sequential gearbox.
