As above, normal. You can, however, get a stainless steel finishing trim to make it look more complete

Thank you both for the reply - just found it strange why the sponge would just suddenly tear and leave holes - guess a Defender so anything possible

Aaah the foam, it stops small bits of gravel getting stuck between the sill trim and inner sill bar

I’ve fitted sliders, but then fill the gap with sealer. That foam is horrible stuff.
