Lots of us want more legroom and look at seat risers as a solution but be careful which ones you buy.
I bought some a while back and although i had more leg room going backwards, my legs hit the steering wheel and I hated them. However, I bought another pair from Brendan recently and they are fab. As the ad says, say you get more leg room but for a very minimal increase in height. I use Mud seat rails, they are absolutely perfect for me, perfect height and increased travel.
It's important to remember that we are all individuals and that what suits one may not suit another. Do your homework before buying. Remember that a stack of washers is still the most cost effective and adjustable solution to the problem of the limited seat travel. Mo The Land Rover 90 - Many are called, few are chosen. |

I had a set fitted a couple of years ago which I found uncomfortable as they were tapered towards the front and I couldn't get used to the angle . Don't make old people mad.
We don't like being old in the first place, so it doesn't take much to  us off.

I bought the thin front edge ones from Brendan, but don’t like the change in slope of the seat base. So wish I’d gone with Mud ones. Anyone want a swap?

I turned up some 1 1/4" spacers from a bit of 1" diameter nylon bar I had kicking around. Eight longer bolts and that was me done. A great mod and not exactly difficult.
You could do the same with some stacks of 'penny' washers if you don't happen to have a lathe in your shed, and you can then adjust the height in increments of one washer thickness at a time. |

You can instead fit spacers to the rear of the seat mount for £5 and achieve the same

No. Just fitting spacers will raise the seat and allow it to go slightly further back, but the raiser rails raise the seat and move the seat mounting positions further back. Giving you much more leg room.
