Rolled Mountain Rescue 110 anyone?
Thus proving the benefit of a full external roll cage.......

Sad its service life with a MR team came to a premature end.

Dreaming now..... If I won big on the lotto, I'd naturally have a tidy workshop (with the snap-on or pirelli calendar girls handing me my spanners...)

I'd buy these old mountain rescue trucks, rebuild them (galv chassis etc, decent cages and all) then donate them back.

How does someone with such an appalling ebay reputation end up selling something like this?

It went up for auction on copart or similar first...

can't believe they didn't just rebuild it.

are you sure it's been rolled and not just reversed into something damaging the rear off-side corner?

the poor door alignment etc is just the usual poor alignment from the factory.

Rolled completely about four or five times down a mountain onto a road. Google the incident, it's widely reported.

Fortunately, thanks to the design of the Land Rover and its fitted roll cage, the five occupants escaped with relatively minor injuries.

I'm not sure it would have been a similar story without the roll cage. I don't think there is much to thank in the Land Rover's design that protects the occupants in a multiple roll over.

To be honest a standard defender doesn't cope well with a single rollover, let alone multiple rolls Shocked the roll cage saved them for sure Thumbs Up 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

Well, the design of the land rover makes it very easy to build a cage and tie it into the chassis! Laughing
