If I won big on the lotto, I'd naturally have a tidy workshop (with the snap-on or pirelli calendar girls handing me my spanners...) I'd buy these old mountain rescue trucks, rebuild them (galv chassis etc, decent cages and all) then donate them back.

I'm not sure it would have been a similar story without the roll cage. I don't think there is much to thank in the Land Rover's design that protects the occupants in a multiple roll over.

Well, the design of the land rover makes it very easy to build a cage and tie it into the chassis!
