United Kingdom 2007 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 XS CSW Java Black
Air Filter
So was doing a bit of winter checking and on inspecting the air filter (which was quite blackened on its outer surfaces) it was quite wet, not dripping but definitely moist.

New one on its way but any thoughts would be appreciated before fitting. (have not been through any deep water).

Possibles I can think of:

Got wet when taking the lid off (due to sliding it sideways and up).
Jet wash?
Air box seal not tight, perished rubber or wasn’t fitted right last time opened.

Sorry if these are obvious but I’m not a mechanic.

Have you done the air box mod? 2015 HT XS 90

Have you done fast/motorway driving in heavy rain/spray? That’s caused issues for me before.
