Pretty sue they can wade up to the edge of the bonnet almost, so either some severe driver error or the waters had subsided!

No doubt another expensive write-off to push insurance premiums still higher.

I wonder what the optional "Wade Sensing" feature in the door mirrors (or possibly sitting in the passenger seat) was saying at the time. assuming that he/she had it!

JLR state max wading depth is 650mm with air susupension or 600mm with poverty suspension.

Wading depth is only maintained for a short time, that car is stopped / parked up so how long can the door seals remain submerged without letting water pass? Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed!

Never really understood what the Velar is or why they released it apart from a vanity project...... It should be more than comfortable in that water depth.

You mean the heated seats will warm up the water for you so that it feels inside like taking a comfortable bath?
Eric You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation.

I would have tended to agree with you, but at this angle/colour spec, it looks quite good to me:
