Strange heater issue on puma
Stumped with this one Confused

Travelling to the adventure over land show Friday, the further north I got the warmer it became, I put the heater to cold (air on is always on) but only the drivers side got cold the passenger air vents were still warm! The drivers side wasn’t really that cold either but significantly colder than the passenger side, turned the heater hot then cold but still a warm son in the passenger seat Shocked

What can cause this? I’m sure it’s been mentioned before but I can’t find it another post 2016 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 TDV8

No, the Puma heater always provides more warmth to the left side than to the right side of the truck. That’s a heater matrix mis design issue. There is a LR fix for it, but that is a dash out job.

Here you go. Mind this is just the fix for the difference between left/right side heater output. Nothing to do with a stuck valve not allowing fully cold air.

Wow that’s hell of a job ericvv thanks for the link, I don’t think mine has that issue though it’s been fine for the last 9 years and just recently started, theres a big difference between the both sides, drivers is quite cold but the passenger side warm almost hot 🥵 2016 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 TDV8

Be aware that this doesn't fix anything, it's a nasty (expensive) bodge which lessens the discrepancy. A custom cross-flow heater matrix would be the only solution.

I had a problem with the left side cold right side warm - the solution was a top up of aircon gas

Thanks blackwolf Thumbs Up

Cold I is was thinking the same because the cold setting wasn’t really that cold and on some occasions you could see the cold vapour from the air vents when working correctly, which I haven’t for a while, I may try that first Idea It’s only around £30 for a re-gas
