Something that may come in handy for somebody.
My Puma just started making an awful noise over bumps, metal to metal clatter from inside the dash. Couldn't think what it was, pushing or pulling on everything would dampen it a bit but not much. Sounded like the whole dash was loose. It turned out that one economy on later vehicles is that they no longer fit a rubber bush to the stud that sticks out the back of the radio, so over time it works loose and the stud then starts to clatter inside the hole. I bought one of the bushes and fitted it and not only did it get rid of the clatter but the whole dash is now much quieter - and in searching for the noise I also found that the radio cage was only secured by a couple of the tangs that bend out to hold it in place - most of them had not been touched. --- 2006 Defender 110 SW 300Tdi • 2011 Ford Ranger XLT crewcab • 2015 Defender 110 Station Wagon Utility TDCi |

Having found the bag that I had lost, the part number of the genuine bung is XQJ10002, but it's probably much cheaper from Halfords or whatever. ---
