Does anyone have a experience of using these https://www.amazon.co.uk/Ring-Video-Doorbe...B072Q48WQR

With motion detection, night vision and full HD Video capture, thought it could be a fairly cheap option for keeping an eye on the defender Jumped ship to reliability - Mitsubishi L200

My sister and her husband have one. They’re really pleased with it but use it mainly for checking remotely on who’s at the door (and speaking to them if necessary). It seems reliable but I can’t comment on how good it would be for taking a longer view of your driveway etc. 2005 Defender 90 TD5

To be honest you'd be better off with "proper" CCTV cameras, with decent night IR, and the appropriate lens for whatever range you need to view.

Plus with a DVR or NVR (if you go analogue or IP) box, you can have multiple cameras and view them decently remotely.

I have the Ring Pro door bell (latest version). It is excellent!! I pay the small fee so that it records 1minute segments for anything it detects within the range you specify, only down side is that it does not then restart recording for a few mins after the initial recording so you don't have a continuous video event but a small 1min segment if that makes sense?

I also have recorded cctv so this was only purchased for the remote door bell feature which is excellent. The video quality is surprisingly good for such a small piece of kit, I would highly recommend it!
