New Defender 110 owner - advice appreciated
Hello everyone,

Having been a LR Discovery driver on and off for many years I very recently took the plunge and purchased a late model, low mileage approved used Puma Defender 110 (2015). It feels like I'm learning to drive all over again having been used to automatics for so long but I'm loving every minute!

There is however one thing that I'm finding a little irritating and that's the shut line on the rear passenger door (see photos). I'm not sure whether to just accept that it's a hand-built car that's notorious for poor panel alignment or whether to drive 100 miles back to the supplying dealer and get then to attempt to make it a bit less obvious. On a positive note though, it doesn't leak, it shuts properly and it's a good fit top and bottom. My concern is that the dealer will faff around and not really make much of an improvement and maybe I should just live with it.

Would be really interested in your views.

Thanks

Andrew

Yours is already considerably better than mine...... Yes you can spend hours and hours jiggling them around to improve but frankly, it's low on my priority list.

Also you'll start to notice nothing is symmetrical...

Enjoy owning one, it's like stepping back into 1950's motoring

If that's worrying you, you are in for a rocky relationship Wink

They are imperfect, that's the charm, but yes as said above you can try adjusting for a closer fit Thumbs Up

Try adjusting the striker. Think it will need a torx driver.

Thanks to everyone for the feedback. I'll treat it as a unique feature rather than an issue. Very Happy

I can now get back to deciding on which expedition roof rack to choose!
