Supplier Far Corners: any recent contact?
I'm wondering if anyone has successfully made contact with Far Corners, a UK-based supplier of various LR aftermarket add-ons: https://farcorners.co.uk/ They have a couple of nice Puma bits I'd like to pick up, but I've not been able to get an email reply, either via their contact form or direct email. I'm Australia-based, so need to "talk" to them to get a shipping quote before ordering.

Any recent experience in contacting them amongst the forum community? Are they still trading?

Thanks in advance!

Hello

I contacted them via the facebook page 'Far Corners'

I was after the rear seat extenders, then started e-mailing.

Sam Sorted my order very quickly and was delivered super quick.

Here is the e-mail contact I had called Sam

sam@farcorners.co.uk

Good luck

Thanks for the replies, folks.

Stacey007, yes, it's the rear seat extenders I'm after too - how do you find them? (And, that's the email address I tried...)

OK, will try them again - hopefully better luck this time.

Several posts on here about them.

Product is good, if not initially fully tested, I think they work on principle of first customers pointing out any issues, same as lr. Cheers

Hello

The kids have a bit more room as it moves the angle of the back part of the seat so they are happy. They do not sit as upright.

I didn't fit them mind so not sure on the job, the garage did it for me when my car was in for a service and some other bits Smile

...And now, seat risers received and installed. The ordering and shipping process was reasonably OK once contact was established.

The fitting process is fairly straight-forward. Instructions are rudimentary, but once you have the parts & car in front of you, it's pretty self-explanatory. One thing that I think the instructions did leave out is that you need to remove a threaded stud from the "old" assembly, to be replaced with a bolt from the kit. Again, once you're into the task, it's obvious and not hard to do. And, it looks like the kit used to include self-adhesive rubber pads to pad out the rubber stops, but now includes rubber rings that pack under the rubber stops to achieve the same end. Not whingeing, just trying to leave some hints for anyone who goes the same route. And, to be clear, the kit was entirely complete & self-contained.

Note that while I was able to do the "single" seat on my own, the weight and bulk of the "double" seat had me getting assistance when manoeuvring it around - the instructions quite correctly recommend this. Total time fitting a bit under 2 hours, tops, at a leisurely pace.

So, they're in, and the slightly more reclined seating position feels good. It does put occupants closer to the C-pillar as a trade-off; will have to load the car up with bodies and see how they find it. Note that this proximity to the pillar would probably not be noticed by younger/smaller passengers.

Also, the edge of the seats now brush against various trim fittings when folding & unfolding - not a biggie, you just go slow & careful when doing so. Never a bad idea anyhow.

Bottom line so far, does what it says on the pack, recommended.

Sorry, no, but what you end up with is pretty much what you see on the Far Corners web site.

I'll take some of the areas I spoke about in particular over the next few days, ie trim rubbing & the rubber spacers.
