What the market research company should do is run events all over the country.

Making it London-based means the data they gather is skewed because only those within reach of London (for reasons of access, time, finances) will attend.

The thoughts of (for example) Scottish prospective owners won't be well represented in the data, just South-Easterners Confused

I agree, but I imagine this won't be the only form of research they conduct. They seem to be really listening to the enthusiast. I saw a chap there in a 4x4 reponse t shirt. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

I thoroughly agree Martin!

Whilst the Chelsea Tractor image might suit some, there are others who prefer reality in their vehicles, and most of us up here don't have the funds that seem to be awash down South!

Whilst the event was in London, there was zero Chelsea-tractorness in anything I saw. I had my sceptical northerner senses turned up to 11.

However it did cross my mind that different vehicles may have been shown to different people based on what answers were given in the original questionnaire. What I saw was uncannily like what I would have wished for. Maybe if I was the sort who wears tight trouser and pointy shoes, I would have been greeted by something completely different. And perhaps the 4x4 response chap was shown something decked out in lights, hi-viz and aerials. Who knows? 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS
