Orange Elite 2 from 1993, still gets used regularly and in excellent condition. Brilliant bike.

I love the E2 but it would have to be an E3 to be perfect for me. Team edition with Girvin Vector 2 forks

It was a weight saving idea I had but it went disastrously wrong as soon as I tried to go uphill so it didn't work out. ![]() I swop it from MTB to road set up depending on what phase I'm going through, looks like this was mid swop. Road bike set up (with chain!): ![]() |

Blimey, how good are your eyes!!! ![]() Brakes are centre pull so no bother when converting to the sti shifters. Only real bother was changing over the rear cassette from eight to nine speed. All the bits were from the road bike so I had them sitting around. It's not like I went out and bought bits specifically to set it up as a winter road bike! It's a good bike though, I know it cost me a few quid back then (1850 I think) but it was well worth the money. It's almost 20 years old and has a good few years in it, probably 20 more at least (probably has more years left in it than I do ![]() |

![]() Click image to enlarge Anyone else use a DC for mountain bikes? It's the first time I've had them in the back, was wondering if anyone had come up with any homemade racks etc for the back? Oh! They were much muddier on the way back.....Honest! 2006 Defender Double Cab- Zambezi Silver |
