Armed Forces - Suicide watch charity and website
Hello all forces members, (or family members of those serving/served), this link was sent to me by one of my RSMs, an important aid in the fight against service personnel depression, PTSD and suicide.

This is a very good set up. The help it provides could be invaluable. You never know if it was just a chat to someone who wanted to talk, or saving their life.
It deserves as much support as possible. 80" 1948

Looks good gren, applied to be a listener.

PTSD is a terrible thing, i wouldn't wish it on anyone, I suffered with sleepless nights, unnecessary risk taking, drinking, lost interest in friends and hobbies.

Still suffer with some things, i still squint and pull my neck in at thumps, bangs and flashes. Can't deal with blood or scare on TV.

Definitely suffer on interacting with people, Sometimes i verge on being too blunt, hostile or interrogative, so i overcompensate by not being talkative.

Really helped to get it off my chest, since i struggled with coming to terms with what happened and what i could have done differently, and different outcomes. People helped me come to terms with there was very little i could have done, and under the same conditions it result would have been the same.

Talking about my experiences in a roundabout way has really helped someone i worked with who struggled from their experiences in the border war 30 years ago, i couldn't imagine struggling for 30 years.

I try not to talk about the actual event as it still brings back some memories, but talking about the experience after i'm happy to talk about as it may help someone else. I'm on IG: https://www.instagram.com/osloblue42/

Thank you Grenadier for posting that link, while I was aware that some servicemen suffer with what they have been through and seen it was only after reading Jo and Dave’s Story that the full truth of what our servicemen can go through hit home. The story made me both sad and angry, sad that anyone should have to go through this and angry that our servicemen do not get more help when it is needed.. For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at..

It's much more common than the MOD and our government might care to admit. Tedworth House are doing a lot to help those with PTSD, but they can only handle so many cases. How many slip through the net, leave the forces and keep it to themselves until it becomes too much? Raising awareness like this is a must.
