2015 Defender 90 Puma 2.2 HT Corris Grey

My heater just exploded? :S

2009 tdci, the heaters were on cold level 3, driving along and a massive bang like something snapping happened followed by a constant drone, I pulled over, switched off and checked under the bonnet nothing visible. Started it again and located it coming from the heater motor, turned the heating to 0 and the noise has stopped. Sounds like the motors packed up! It's the hottest day of the year here and having no cooling is a bit annoying! Land rover assistance say it's ok to drive just keep heater on 0 untill the dealer can look at it! Is this a common fault or a new one to add to the ever growing list
