clutch issue
hi all i hope some one can shred some light on this.

Decided to get my 90 200tdi out, first time after it been stood for 6-8 month checked fluids charged the battery, put it in neutral but clutch pedal is soild ???now maybe i should have stopped here .
Anyhow i wanted some sound out the 200tdi and i decided to turned the key, she starts instantly Mr. Green tried clutch pedal and i have a pedal now.

i took the truck a lap around the block with no issues gears engage ok clutch seems ok too

i now decided to visit a friend about 10 mile away it drove fine for a good 5-6 mile then coming to a roundabout i depressed the clutch to knock down a gear and clutch obliviously disengaged as revs dropped, but couldn't get out of gear?? i coasted around this roundabout ... managed to rev match and changed gear drove the rest of the way rev matching but noticed i could pull off from stationary using the clutch but not engage or disengage gear with out rev matching.

I'm curious as to what you think could be the issue? i'm personally hoping its some air in the hydraulic system and just needs bleeding

weather permitting im hoping to have investigate this weekend

Possibly rust on the flywheel? It is not a Defender, it is a One_Ten

i didn't find enough time over the weekend to attempt to bleed the system , however i did find the chance to roll under with a torch and what i did find was a fragment of metal roughly 15mm x 10mm x 3mm thick sitting in the wading plug hole, im guessing this is from one of the fingers of the pressure plate, is this a common failure of a pressure plate and would loosing a finger on the pressure plate cause my issue , im now begin to think the box is going to have to come out

Not heard of it happening before. So would guess it is not a common failure.
Sadly it sounds as though the box is going to have to come out.
Not a joyous prospect and one I have to look forward to in the not too distant future. It is not a Defender, it is a One_Ten

Has the clutch got rusted in place, the fork got stuck and the extra pressure used punched the famous hole in it?

you normally get a solid pedal when the fork fails or a spring falls out.

update:

Got round to bleeding the system. no improvement
next step is to have the gearbox out to have a proper look, i'm suspecting pressure plate or clutch fork at fault,

Update i dropped the gearbox at the weekend

the bearing had seen better days (it was that rough im sure it was barking)
the pressure plate fingers had been pushed in some bent
new clutch, pressure plate, bearing and fork ordered , also ordered a new slave cylinder as the boot disintegrated
