Some really nice pics here.
We've always loved our cats, both growing up in the UK & here in Aussie.
But, here in Melbourne, we do not have a cat any more. They are not allowed to roam,..if they are caught where they're not supposed to be (basically it can be anywhere outside the boundaries of your property) they can be seized by council "rangers" & taken to a pound.
Many owners just keep their cats indoors, or in an enclosed run, but ours would never have liked that, & we wouldn't like to keep a cat under those conditions.
Still love 'em though.
Pickles.

Whomever made that silly law should be dragged out into the street and shot (multiple times, repeatedly) Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so.

At the risk of starting an argument (which is very much not my aim) I can see logic in controlling domestic cats in the same way that dogs are. Dogs aren't allowed to roam wherever they wish, and dog fouling is an offence in many areas, both of which outdoor cats do with impunity. There's also the wildlife hunting aspect, for which cats are credited with the reduced numbers of domestic song birds and small mammals.

Have to agree with Thon.

Cats and dogs are lovely.

However, other peoples' cats and dogs can be a nightmare.

I knew an RSPB member who admitted she felt guilty that her cat regularly brought young birds into her house.

I said: so get rid of the cat.

No chance!
