Sounds like your battery isn’t up to the job anymore. I had the same with a Waeco fridge, so got rid of it and bought an Engle as it didn’t have the low voltage thing to stop it working. For me I didn’t want it as I had split charge and two odyssey’s so it’s ok to go to lower voltages.
But, I did have a big chat with odyssey about this and they told me. At least once a year each battery should be removed from the circuit, and be given a full proper charge with decent charger, with the correct setting for the battery type. I have since done this and it very much changes/resets the batteries characteristics after. So your battery may just need some tlc Andy. |

Hi Andy,
Thanks for the input. Interesting about the battery. I recently completely flattened my Odyssey through an electrical fault, and recharged with a CTEK 500 battery charger. Maybe worth trying on the reconditioning cycle if I didn’t do it before. No flexibility to change the fridge, but may have to plump for a cheaper Numax if required. Cheers Robin |

My waeco did this. I changed the power lead and the plug it went into. They had led a hard life and often didn’t quite mate together properly. 2002 110 td5
