Very plausible in my opinion, and a great and worthy successor...

... to the Discovery 1/2/3/4 and Skoda Yeti, but not the Defender. Big Cry

it looks like the backstairs love child produced by the third generation Range Rover and mark 1 Freelander.

That dash layout is minging I hate the location of the gear selector - hardly sports / truck like.

LR need to sell this in the US in numbers = Jeep Wrangler / Toyota 4 Runner / Ford F series owners are not going to give up their trucks for that image - its embarrassing.

Independent suspension front and rear could produce a very capable vehicle, but...and it's a big but. What is the point of throwing another jelly mold SUV into an already crowded market when they could have produced something more distinct? A market where Land Rover products don't only compete against Audi, BMW etc but also against other models in their own product range.
It is fair to say that this market strategy that Land Rover is pursuing could see the end of the marque.

I think it will drive great, look ok, and probably do 90% of what most people need it to do... However

If Mercedes can make the latest G wagon look like a Y reg model yet fill it will all the latest tech and safety gear.

Jeep did it with the wrangler and it fundamentally looks the same...

Landrover had one of the best Icons of all time, why choose to make it look like any other model in their range... then they will updates and change it every few years with 'facelifts'

I'm sure it will grow on me, and maybe the actual product will be better in the flesh. I swapped a completely nice German marque for the rugged / tonka toy look and feel of the Defender I have today. I just don't think this new model will add that 'je ne sais quoi' of the current model.

I'm happy to move with the times and take on new tech, but most cars these days if you cover the badge up could be mades from the same manufacture. That's why I like the distinctive look of the Landrover.

I may end up with one but pretty sure the 110 will be staying with me Smile

It’s going to come down to price for me, don’t much care how it looks.

Obviously based on prototypes and speculation but the '110' looks quite useful.

Unless you have dogs, outdoor hobbies or need to carry anything larger than a shopping bag.

The loadspace has to be bigger than that. Doesn't it?
