I reckon it is not normal the bit comes out into pieces Puma 110" SW

I’m not completely sure what your asking, but the assembly in the picture looks normal to me.

I would've have thought the tip to the furthest left should remain captive in the housing to the furthest right with the rest of the assembly contained with in, in its current orientation.

I am no expert of course, so my views are to be taken with a pinch of salt.
I would say they two pieces are a press fit, and have parted company on removal.
Maybe this was aiding and abetting the issue that you had prior to changing it? Diesels Lives Matter. ⛽️🛢️👨‍🔧🧰⚙️

Ok. I was having trouble getting the learns so I decided to inspect the valve and it came dissasembed. I replaced with a new one and then the calibations went ok. It was a pig to unscrew it. Bloody tight. Puma 110" SW

Pressure relief valve has to be fitted and tightened to set amount


1. install new fuel pressure relief valve ( Tighten to 30 Nm - 22 lb.ft.

2. Draw a line on the corner of the fuel pressure relief valve and on the side of fuel rail

3. Draw a line 3 mm 0.11 inches CW from the line on the side of fuel rail

4. Tighten the fuel pressure relief valve and make sure that line on the corner of the fuel pressure relief valve passes line CW 3 mm 0.11 inches from the line on the side of fuel rail tighten to 172 Nm - 127 lb.ft
5. If lines on the corner of the fuel pressure relief valve does not pass second line on the side of fuel rail tighten remove the fuel pressure relief valve and inspect for contamination and thread damage to the fuel rail.

reassemble from step 1

6. install the fuel spigot

Clean the component mating faces

Tighten to 20 Nm 15 lb.ft

does anything have to be bled when changing one of these? or just remove and fit new one as above? Cheers
