only one pastie to buy in Cornwall and that a Philps Pastie, the best there is, and you can buy them by post, nothing like the gristle and potato thing Ginsters make

My GP wants to put me on statins to reduce my cholesterol but I told him no way - I'll change my diet instead. So no more pies, chips, belly pork with crackling etc etc.

We haven't had a discussion about alcohol yet but no doubt he'll want to remove that pleasure soon. Luckily our local vineyard runs a Defender with plenty of samples in it.

Totally agree, one of the best you'll get is a Philp's pasty. Good job I don't live any closer to Hayle.

Don't mind a Mary's Pasty bar the price! Fair number of outlets for them in the St Austell area.
