Spare Wheel Carrier Vs Optimil Hinges
As the subject states, i am trying to decide between these options. Currently my 2015 90 has a standard spare wheel holding an 18 inch Twisted Classic wheel and 265/65 tyre.

I don't especially like the look of the wheel carriers and like the spare sitting central, however i have noise coming from the rear door, so presume there is movement (only 5,000 miles on the clock).

I have been advised that on these later model doors, just changing the hinges will solve the rattle.

Does anyone have experience of these hinges with a standard wheel carrier?

Not comparing ORE Hinges, but might help the discussions Craig.

thanks Craig. I have heard this from a few people now, hence the post. I figured as my wheel/tyre combo will be heavier, at least with beefier hinges, it may still negate the requirement for the wheel carrier.
