Preparing the Defender For Sale - how far do you go??
Oh Great Wise Ones!!! What should I do??

I'm preparing my 12 plate Defender ready to advertise and hopefully sell. I'm going round / through it to ensure the new owner doesn't have anything unexpected headaches.

So far I've found a weeping caliper seal so that's been sorted. The rear crossmember has been fettled to remove the surface rust spots I've put up with for far too long (wire brush back to shiny metal / apply Rust Remedy / primer x 2 / stone guard / Satin Black x 2). While there I gave the towbar a fettling and replaced all the bolts with new.

This now brings me up to my problem. I'm half way through applying a damned good layer of Waxoyl but .......... checking fault codes there are two glow plugs open circuit. I have 5 new glow plugs (1 genuine in bag and 4 exactly the same but just oem) in stock. Not wanting to get covered in Waxoyl do I replace all 4 glow plugs before carrying on or do I not bother replacing them and simply tell the new owner they need doing and finish the Waxoyling off??

I don't fancy the job of replacing the glow plugs - there is just so much to remove to get to them Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad
Should I bite the bullet and get on with replacing them????

If unlike me (but i am quickly learing) You could offer them to the buyer as something you have but not fitted, good honest answer
