LandTreks - Pyrenean Tours - Thoughts?
Hi all,

Have any members done one of these tours with LandTreks and in particular their 'tag along' tours where your own vehicle is used? If so, any good?!

I am looking to do a tour in that region and looking for a good company tour to participate in.

Thanks.

Mark

Hi, I never managed to free up the time to take the trip but my interactions with them to explore the options left me feeling positive. I looked at a load of companies and shortlisted down to Landtreks and Kudu Overland (not a lot wrong with others but just closer to meeting my needs). Just need time to do something with it now 😊 good luck Sweatysock

Hi Markez79,

Went with Wayne and Helen of Landtreks in 2012, and did the Pyrenees Explorer East tour, with my son and two other friends.

Had a really great time. Wayne and Helen give a great running commentary on the tour, and are very knowledgeable about the whole of the region. We spent most evenings with them and were truly looked after. If you go just ask them about ‘Wetsuit man’,. Hope this helps,

Ashby Andy 👍🤞

I have just come back from a trip to Morocco with Kudu Overland and found them to be very good - almost a one man band led by Philip Hummel. Really friendly and Philip spends ages researching his trips. They also limit the numbers - so for Morocco the maximum was 6 vehicles, and I think (as someone was asking him) the limit for the Pyrenees is something like 3 due to local permits for some of the parks they drive through.

I have no experience of the other company - but found Kudu very good

It looks like their 2019 tour is fully booked sadly

Another thumbs up for Landtreks.

Wayne and Helen are great guides.

Went with them in 2010 for a week over the Pyrenees to the Med.

Once we have more time will be going with them again Thumbs Up 2007 TD5 90 Hard Top

Going in June to The Pyrenees with Off-road Adventure Travel. Camping or Hotels can be arranged and small group sizes.

They were great last year when we had breakdown issues in Galicia, got the 110 recovered to a garage and jumped into their Double cab and continued with the trip until our car was fixed and I have no hesitation in recommending them.
