Priming Ali steering guard?
Steering guard has quite a few bits flaking off. I can’t be arsed sanding it all back to bare metal if I don’t have to, was just planning on sanding off all the loose bits and keying the rest. Can I get away with this and a few coats of etch primer, or will the etch react with the existing paint?

Maybe you could try a small test area?

Did mine a few years ago with standard Halfords primer and paint. Still looks as good as new
