Rhino Delta roof bars with a Thule bike rack fit?
Hello

I've just picked up some Rhino Delta landrover bars with the intention to fit the Thule individual bike holders to them.

Looking at the thickness of the bars they seem much thicker than 'normal' ones.

I will have a look over the weekend hopefully but just inquiring if anyone has these type of bars with the bike rack on? I know there are different fittings available for the square bars but not sure they go this thick? (the bracket that goes round the bars)

Would probably be able to make them fit somehow but would be nice if they fit how they should.

So these bars to this type of rack anyone have them with a bike rack on

I faced the same problem when fitting those bike racks to my First Four roof bars, which are around 50 x 50mm in section. I resolved it by buying some longer bolts and making some backing plates from flat steel bar:

Yeah, they're absolutely fine. I've even re-purposed those plates and the camlock levers from the bike racks to attach my Ozpod to the same bars. Darren

In the end

With the two thule bile racks I have I have drilled right through them and the bars and bolted them down.

I'm happy they are solid, I don't want any moving around and I'm unlikely to use them any other way just on the trailer as I have a Thule towbar rack for normal use.

I've also bolted the uprights to the sides of the trailer as again wasn't happy with the fit using the gutter type way.

Its proper solid now Thumbs Up

Just need two more bike racks
