I have a 2007 puma. Does not so many miles and sits for a few weeks at a time. Battery was low during the cold snap and gave it a charge once or twice over dec/jan. it ran/started no probs last weekend.
This morning no turn over, no cough, some lights on the dash flicker on and off and I can hear a relay or something like that under the driver seat clicking on and off as I hold the key into the ignition on position. Just checked the battery 10.9v. It’s on charge now, so will see in the morning. Also when locking I noticed the indicators flashed 4 times. I am sure they do not normally do that? Suggestions ![]() |

The voltage suggests that once cell is dead. It is very unlikely to bounce back from that.

![]() ![]() It definitely won't last next winter so i'll swap it out before any long trips or it gets cold again. The GF's car did exactly what you described this winter though - charging it back up worked a couple of times but it never held the charge again, so got replaced sharpish. |
