News via my source and seems to be confirmed via companies house that Superwinch are in administration
https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/02708737 Not sure about the usa arm of the company but it's a sad time for a company that has been quite a prominent and long term employer in the area. ![]() ![]() |

Too many Chinese alternatives I guess to compete with.
The x9 was a great winch, well made and better than warn… but I bought a couple of their ep range after and was absolute tat |

From their official Facebook page:
Effective February 22, 2019, Superwinch Group, Inc. ceased operations in Portland, OR. However, this is not the end of the Superwinch brand. Westin Automotive Products, Inc., headquartered in San Dimas, CA, is in the process of acquiring specific assets, IP rights, and branding of SUPERWINCH. Westin looks forward to re-establishing the Superwinch brand’s business relationships with our automotive and industrial partners and is eager to integrate SUPERWINCH with the Westin family of products. During the transition process, SUPERWINCH will be unable to accept new orders, process warranty claims, or make inventory transactions of any kind. Customer service coverage may be limited as well, but we will do our best to respond to customer inquiries in a timely manner. We would like to thank our loyal customers for standing by us through this process and hope to one day meet and exceed your expectations for the standards our brand has established over its many years. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS |

In my book the only electric winch worth bothering with (except maybe, just maybe, the 8274). I have three on various vehicles. |

+1.... same as that.... Huskies & 8274 get the rating in my book.
too many people happy to accept cheap Chinese tat... wasn't there a thread on here not 5 minutes ago (maybe longer....) about the poor quality finish on cheap winches? Last edited by diesel_jim on 19th Mar 2019 8:05am. Edited 1 time in total |

How do they compare to Goodwinch? Just curious as I have no experience with either brand just yet.

Looks like the contents of the business are now up for auction including a load of completed winches
https://www.i-bidder.com/en-gb/auction-cat...arch=False It's sad to see these auctions when a business goes bust ![]() |

I thought the same, but was just browsing the auction site and looking at this one: https://www.i-bidder.com/en-gb/auction-cat...2501044cf6 Look at the sticker on the box.... "made in China" WTF?? |

Well a certain amount of the product was brought in china and shipped to superwinch where they would replace certain components then brand them or e.g the older trailer winches it was a sticker exercise.
The LP series is a case in point where you can see the similarities with the winchmax and warrior brands. other types like the hydraulic and husky series were more own manufacture and built. take the EXP was all USA built in their new factory. Also can be found on Fb, Ytube, Insta & Twitter @4WDSouthwest |
