So can any one tell me what they are and a rough idea of cost to fix, dealer says £400!!!!!

The reason you got the response you did last time was that we don't have the foggiest what "sweeper bushes" are...

It's not a phrase that I've ever heard, nor it would seem, has anyone else - just Google defender sweeper brushes and you'll see what I mean..!

I would think they are talking about swivel bushes.
These are the big ball things on the end of the front axle, that allow drive to pass through axle whilst also allowing steering. They have bushes which wear, and contain oil, grease, that can leak. Just my thinking ![]() Andy |
