strange problem transferbox defender td5 2001
hello,

i have a strange problem with my newly acquired defender transferbox.

if i put the lever of the transferbox in the top position the car acts like its in high gear and if i put it in the lower position it acts like its in low gear?

any advice?

OP could probably have been more specific though.

Recently a similar problem has been discussed on lr4x4 as far as it concerns throttle response - I presume that's the problem that the topicstarter refers to:

I think that the OP needs to clarify if he's asking about throttle response or about gearing before any meaningful help is forthcoming.

I suspect that it is more likely to be throttle response (and a wiring issue with the high/low switch) than a gearing issue, but clarification would help.
