Clicking/knocking noise....
After some wisdom please....

2011 110 Utility Wagon.

Last week I jumped in and couldn’t get her out of gear. Following sudgestions on here I removed and replaced the vertical detent pin (https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic60607.html)
This sorted my issue! But now I have a click/tapping/knocking noise...unsure where it’s coming from but it speeds upbdown with vehicle speed, and is still present with clutch down....so I guess it’s not transmission. Any ideas of what to look for?
I’m thinking jack up the front and turn each wheel to see if I can locate? 2011 2.4 110 Utility Wagon

If it sounds a bit like somebody cracking their knuckles and is worse when you have steering lock on, then I'd suspect CVs. A really bad UJ will start to bind up (just before it goes bang and the propshaft tries to tunnel its way through the floor) so may be worth chocking the wheels, letting the handbrake off and getting under to give those a shake (no point doing it with the handbrake on as any load on the rear propshaft will take up slack). ---
