Hi guys I have just bought a set of individual second row seats for my 110. I want to change from the 60/40 seat in the td5 to 3 highback classic seats from Exmoor trim. Who has done this any pictures, advice list of parts needed would be very helpful.

Surely they are better than the 60/40 low back and better for the kids?

Thats exactly what i was going to do for the same reasons. After testing out the seats they are just so uncomfortable, even for a child, equally are not car seat safe.
My plan is to fit Renault Scenic seats in the rear, its a reasonably easy to fit to the 60/40 frames. Instagram @defender_ventures Empire Tuning - Agent |

Are you referring to the premium high back which have high side bolsters or the older style classic highback which have smaller bolsters

I fitted those seats to my old TD5 station wagon and they were great. I did fit the recliner kit too, though, which moved the backrests slightly further back and allowed a good degree of adjustment. My kids used them with booster seats for about a year and then on their own afterwards without any issue.

I put a retrimmed set of front seats in mine, after reading a lot of people that weren't so pleased with the comfort of the exmoor trim ones. I do have a set of low backs in the boot however that do the job.

Hi LRA did you have to drill all new holes for the seat brackets and did the centres have spreader plates behind upstand? |

It was a few years ago now, but I seem to remember only having to drill for the additional bracket in the middle of where the '60' seat was. I don't remember a spreader plate - I think it was just some decent sized washers. The seats themselves don't take any particular loads, of course. It's the seat belts that need to be solidly anchored. Darren

I'm sure when I swopped out my 60/40 seats it was just an extra hole or two for the centre seat, as regards to the seatbelts I didn't touch the originals, I just used them as before.

No spreader plates or anything required, the brackets just bolt to the 2nd row floor upstand with 4 M6 Bolts per bracket. Use duralac or similar, or they'll do what mine did and dissolve all the aluminium around them!
