2010 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 HT Alpine White

My vehicle is looseing power and has difficulty in starting

Good day everyone please I have a problem with my defender puma 2010 it was not pulling well and sending out black smoke. And the engine has a sound as if the air cleaner is not close. Also when the engine is hot the vehicle has difficulty in starting. Please what can I do

Black smoke indicates over fuelling, this with the sound you describe could be a leaking boost hose, alternatively it could be something more technical. DEFENDER 90 TDCI XS,

One of the intercooler hoses has failed. That would be my guess
