I decided to re fit the 3rd row seats and with the build up of soundproofing and thicker carpet I made the decision to strip it all back.

I have a top tip for anyone thinking about removing Dynamat. DONT!!!

90% peeled off, but by god the remaining 10 nearly had me beat. I would have taken a photo during the removal but the phone would have just stuck to my glove.

So all cleaned up and a good opportunity to fine tune all the wiring in the rear etc.

Seats arrived today. Have to say its been very difficult to track down these in very good condition and the replacement parts are getting tricky to find now. I just need to give the floor brackets a tidy up. Then to match the Recaros I will dye the stitching black.

Decided to keep it simple. Just ordered factory floor carpet for the middle and rear and a new rubber load mat. Nothing on the tub sides. This is how LR send out the Trophy’s and I just can’t face anymore Dynamat. One thing I have started to appreciate though is that since the cage was fitted the whole defender feels so much more solid, the doors have never closed better, first time every time Rolling with laughter Andy

Loved looking through this build thread especially with all the details.

If you don't mind me asking, the part with the fuel tank, what fuel pump did you use? does it use the original puma pickup/sender unit and just change out the pump itself or was it something completely different?

Decided to paint the second row seat box Fuji while I had the rear all cleared out. All back in now with the 3rd row seats brackets freshly blasted and coated, all new SS fixings, 3rd row stitching now black. I am in 2 minds if i even need to retrim any seats as they all now match but really pleased with how it has all come together. Thumbs Up
