This one is way better. We have overhauled pretty much everything and haven’t cut corners. I called up this evening to drop off some parts and heard it for the first time. So much nicer to the last, deeper tone so very happy indeed. Just decided the tip position which is pretty much standard, got the new header tank in and new pioneer brake lines on so should be back on the ground by the weekend which is a big step forward. Don’t even think I am going to badge this one up with LS3 etc. Go under the radar.

I’d do the same; no badging and as close to standard exhaust to keep it inconspicuous. Very much looking forward to listening to that engine screaming though!!

Just ordered a new genuine Silver rear badge as I think it’s better on the Fuji.

Looking mental Andy.

LR badge is a nice touch, did you decide on how you're going on the front end - TD5 style Defender etc?
Sleeper sounds much more fun for the traffic light Grand Prix! Laughing

Loving that awesome burble sound there Andy and it's great that you've gone down the sleeper look with not putting on the badges and having the single exit exhaust Cool 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up. Keeper.

Coming along nicely now. Badly needs a nice cover for the LR ECU.

That’s all the coolers fitted. Comes up to temperature nicely and just idles away with no concerns. Plan to get it onto the wheels again tomo, moved over to the other side of the workshop and wings back on. Then we can get better access to start on the inside.

Great work there Andy as you say, coming on nicely Thumbs Up

I hope it's just me, but keep an eye out on the header tank level window as after some months went by i was losing water and it turned out to be the bit of plastic they use was cracked / split. I did get a couple of replacements, but they also cracked / split, so that is why i don't have my header tank on any more Sad

Thanks for the heads up, will definitely keep an eye on it. I actually didn’t really want the window but it was the only one I could get in a hurry. Andy
