United Kingdom 2003 Defender 90 Td5 HT Alpine White
Mine does it too when it's cold and it's been sat.
It could be anything from valve stems and rings as mentioned to turbo seals.

It takes surprisingly little oil to make blue smoke. I would only worry if it was smoking constantly. 2014 - current ..... 2003 defender td5 90 (my car)
