Pioneer deh4600bt and focal PC100 speakers in a TD5

I have looked through the ICE posts but have not found the info I am looking for.
Will just swapping my standard Land Rover speakers for Focal PC100 speakers make a big difference to sound quality in my TD5.
I have a Pioneer DEH 4600bt head unit installed and did not want to go down an additional amplifier route if possible.
Thanks 2016 Defender Landmark 90

Unless the currently fitted OEM speakers are faulty/damaged, I doubt you'll notice much difference, the problem with higher powered speakers of a given size are that they tend to be less compliant, or stiffer in order to handle the extra power and therefore need more power (volume) to drive them.

I upgraded the front speakers in my 90 because the originals were a bit tatty and buzzing on low notes, the replacements are noticeably quieter than the rear ones and the sound quality is not really any better than before, (apart from losing the occasional buzz.) You also have to consider the standard set-up enclosures too, they're really not the best, especially given the noisy environment they're having to work in.

Thanks Clive for your advice based on that I will keep my OEM speakers for now. 2016 Defender Landmark 90

Id agree to disagree with Clive.
The biggest and easiest improvement would be an addition of separate tweeters on top of the dash, same as fitted to a puma. Aftermarket are probably easier to fit, but its not that hard.
