Has anyone used a Planar Binar water heater?
It's like a Webasto Thermotop, 5kW water heater, but the price is a bit more affordable.

On a related note, how easy are water heaters to T in to the heating system and how easy is it to get fuel to the heater? I'd rather not drop the tank if possible!

Plumbing into the coolant circuit is easy enough, there's a 4 way non return valve you can use to improve efficiency when you're not running the heater.

If you don't want to drop the tank or cut an inspection hatch you can use one of these down the filler neck like this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Land-Rover-Defe...43b3d63ff9
