Goodbye Defender Sticker
Not sure about you but I loathed the cheap vinyl Defender badge on the back almost as much as I hated the cheap metal badge on my old TD5's bonnet. So, armed with just my wife's hairdryer and a can of beer for courage, off it came.

Think it looks much cleaner now !

Less is more but I'm not sure Neutral the LR oval badge looks a bit lost in the middle now, don't show the rivet counters what you have done Shocked Laughing

Most peole go the other way and put so much crap, tat and stickers on, it cheapens the whole look and ends up looking like a kids Tonka toy. It's like a tattoo, one looks OK and tasteful but then you just can't resist putting another on and then another and you have just ruined the whole image!

Good job we all have different tastes though for variety and some of the crap we put on does sometimes actually get used Rolling with laughter

I would love a snorkel but I wouldn't have the guts to show up with that on in the school run or in the supermarket as it would be purely for show. If I did use It, It would be OK as I know I am justified having it. I wish I had Ewan Mcgregor's balls when asked why did he have a snorkel if he was never going to use it and he replied "because it looks cool and I might need it going through puddles in Piccadilly" Thumbs Up

Perhaps a minor point, but it's possible.

Say you come to sell it and a potential buyer is giving it a look over and notices the lack of the Defender sticker. His/her mind starts thinking "Why no sticker?"

Now what's he/she going to think? Will they think that it looked naff, so the owner's removed it, or will they think strange that, no sticker. Must have been resprayed. Must have had a prang. Buyer is unsure and walks away???

Chris.

Porsche charge an extra £80 to supply cars without the 911 badge, as do Merc on SL's - I have had both and in both cases took my own off (tooth floss on 'proper' badges works well) surprised LR have not spotted the opportunity to do less and charge more, lets face it they do with everything else Smile
