Side steps - HELP
Need some advice from those who "speak" Land Rover parts numbers.

Was under my 110 DC today and noticed that the sidesteps which came with had some severe penetrating rust to the main support brackets (aaarrrggghhhh).

Now, as I am getting the whole underside & cavities waxoyl'd in about 3 weeks, thought I would treat myself to new ones, maybe the Fire & Ice versions, which I have found on a certain auction site for about £250.

Only problem is, will these fit my 110DC?

The codes I have are:
OEM Stock code: AM7H12-16B586-CA
Aftermarket codes: LR008375

Chassis number is 1A, so 2001.

Don't really fancy paying the dealer premium on these, and upgrading from the chequerplate finish to a rubberised finish is a good idea for the kids anyway.

Anyone give me some advise here - local dealers look at me as if I've got 2 heads when I talk about Defenders.

Have you considered rock and tree sliders? IMO much better then steps as they tend to get damaged. Put anti slip tape on top of tree slider and it forms a 'step' Don't take it down the outside edge as you might regret that Razz

Steps mainly for my kids to get in & out, hence the desire for some rubberised surface. I actually like the look of the tube style steps - reasonably easy to keep clean (although previous owner has obviously missed a few bits, hence the rust thru.

Just don't want to buy unless I know they'll fit. Worse case scenario, I can MAKE them fit. 2001 TD5 110 DCPU in Bonatti Grey

LR008375 is the 'recognised' part number - microcat only lists these for the 2007- models, however they are dimensionally the same as the XS style side runners (which had a chequer-plate top with a rubber surround) that were fitted from 3A647097.
The part of the body they bolt onto is the same part number from XA159807 until the 2007- range 9A888887 so they 'should' have the necessary holes present.
You will probably need to drill and rivnut holes in the chassis for the support struts.
In short they will fit but you probably need to drill four holes.

I see what you mean by the dealer premium - list is around £500 - ouch.
