| Naks Member Since: 27 Jan 2009 Location: Stellenbosch, ZA Posts: 2687      | Sounds to me like troubleshooting #2 is the biggest issue you have here: the VIN and the engine software seem to not be compatible - are you sure the dealer is competent? 
 Assuming the dealer is competent and wasn't trying to upload a Discovery/other LR software onto a Defender, it sounds like you might need a new ECU (properly coded to your VIN). At least this will allow you to update the latest software and redo the VCV learn. Best of luck! ps.
