Replacement bushes
Following on from my question re:Radius arms. What bushes to replace the ones in the front radius arms and the rear arms as well as others?

SuperproP
Polybush
LR genuine items?
Others? 1999 Defender TD5 110

Genuine.
I always come to the conclusion that if polyurethane bushes are as good as they claim to be. They would be fitted as standard

As above. Had SuperPros on the 110 for a decade now and they are still superb.

The key point to help in the decision making process is not necessarily which is the best and which lasts the longest because that is entirely down to how the vehicle is used and what conditions it is exposed to.

The question is; Are you planning to DIY or get someone else to change the bushes.

If the former and because it is unlikely you will have a hydraulic press then poly-style bushes everyday and twice on Sunday. If the latter then either genuine or polys it does not matter, someone else is fitting them and because they are a garage will probably have a press.

I was planning on DIY. A friend might be selling a press so going to see if its still for sale and at what price/spec

Other option is send it into a garage but the labour charge would pay for a press... 1999 Defender TD5 110

Superpro for me. I’ve fitted them to my last two Defenders without an issue. I can fit/swap them as I want, as they don’t require a press.
