300tdi mods list
I know its been covered multiple times, but times move on and so do mods so what have people done to improve the engines performance?

Ive adjusted the fuel pump and just fitted a 2.5” intake to the drivers wing top. She smokes and goes well😊

Any other mods? Ive seen the boost pin and ring setup and there are mentions of moving the wastegate take off to the inlet manifold?

Refurb or replace the injectors, not really a mod but it made a lot of difference to my 300tdi. Some folk turn up the boost pin etc and sometimes all it does is mask poor underlying performance and health of the engine. Do the routine maintenance and a healthy 300tdi is beautiful thing with a very happy sound.

Good luck

EGR, and CAT removal and a good exhaust is another good one for freeing things up, and making sure all is up to scratch, Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

All of the above!!

Get it breathing nice and easy! (Unlike my 2.2)

Another good mod I found was a discovery transfer box.

That and regular oil and filters (and cambelt) and she'll travel the world!

O and a Delphi lift pump helped my poor top end oomph

Regards

Allow the above, add in an uprated intercooler, hybrid turbo and an egt so you can keep an eye on things

full width intercooler added 30% to power
full silicone hosing added a bit
new turbo, fuel injectors and recon fuel injection pump
3 inch internal diameter raised air intake tube and piping all the way to a 3 inch intake on a donaldson (wolf) air filter box. I wrote a big article on this posted somewhere here. some parts i needed where made by Wayne Nielsen at nugget stuff in oz for me.
