If you're sure the door switches are ok, the only other switch I can think of is on the light itself.
You'll find that you have a red light on your rev counter if one of the door switches is showing open too, worth looking out for. |

Checked them both at the switch and that way: red light flashjng when doors open, goes off when closed.

Mine was water ingress
It wouldn't always lock or alarm either |

That’s what I suspect as it happens after rain! The door switches were bone dry when I checked today and it had been
 down all morning! |

I had the same problem just a few days ago - When locking with the remote, it would lock and then unlock again as it thought one of the doors was still open. Just pushed each door sensor a few times and it's been ok since. |

Still struggling with this. Checked the door switches and I’m confident it isn’t them, for starters the alarm doesn’t sound andit would if the door switches were made. Have checked the light units themselves and all appears ok. Havigflowed the wiring diagram, the light is switched at the ecu, so maybe an issue here? Any thoughts or anything else to check?

The door switches are only switching a very low current input to the alarm ECU and not the power to the lights directly, I just measured it on mine and it's less than 8mA, at this current level, it's quite feasible that a bit of moisture in one of the pin switches, or in the wiring in the door pillars or roof could cause it, don't forget the one on the back door too.

Don't forget the bonnet switch as well.
It does seem to be a form of Earth leakage, as they are Earth switched there is a ground path being established and likely via moisture as suggested. Try pushing in the sensors then quickly releasing them to spring back, they can also tend to get gummed up in damp weather. After this went away and came back a few times, I went over a bump and the lights came on. I gave the front light a knock and it went off again, took the cover off and it was full of cobwebs and dead insects!! Cleaned them out an hey pesto! All good! Who knew!!?
