An alternative option might be to get one 3d printed, could anyone help with that?

Not sure what you mean by the inner roof trim ? Do you mean the panel that sits on the inside or the rubber strip thing that clips in and covers the edge of the roof lining ? http://www.yorkshireoffroadclub.net/

The plastic trim panel that holds the edge of roof cloth is the part that was missing from the kit when I bought it. I actually have 2 of the rubber spacer strip as I bought one recently that I thought was the plastic panel based on the description! I fully understand the confusion as this 'escape hatch' is hardly a common fitment! As for a photo (JOW240725), I have never managed to figure out or understood how add photos to my forum posts, I really am just pretending how this forum stuff works!! ![]() ![]() |

I don't recall a plastic trim, there's just a shaped rubber finisher that pushes out around the head lining and clips into the aluminium internal frame covering the screw heads.
This is a pic of one of mine with everything in place: ![]() Click image to enlarge It's not the clearest pic but most of the black area to the outside of the unit is a kind of rubber seal that has a weird texture, like a velvet feel to it. I can try and get a better pic of it later, I'd remove it but it's a real PITA to get clipped in again ! It comes as one long length and you have to form it as you fit it, especially in the corners. It may actually be the same as the glass version ? http://www.yorkshireoffroadclub.net/ |

But your pic shows the very same plastic trim that I'm looking for!

No plastic there at all that I recall, just an aluminium internal frame (painted black) and a rubber trim/filler piece. http://www.yorkshireoffroadclub.net/

I have the aluminium finisher that is attached directly to the underside of the roof and that screws directly to the 'escape hatch' and I have a rubber spacer that will fit to the aluminium finisher attached to the roof but this cannot attach to the headlining.
What I am lacking is the wide black bit, I thought it was plastic, that attaches to the headlining and which keeps the headlining at the same distance from the roof as the bit of white trim that is fitted on the inside of the actual hatch (the bit on the photo that the net 'pocket' is fitted). The rubber spacer that I have has nothing to attach to the vehicle's headlining as opposed to the panel attached directly to the hatch itself. |

OK, that's actually a rubber strip, I have a feeling I might have a spare one of those and I think the same is used on a normal sunroof but could be wrong.
I'm competing at a trial tomorrow, not sure when I'll be back, but if I get back early enough I'll have a dig around in the garage, if not it'll be Monday. http://www.yorkshireoffroadclub.net/ |
