Third Gear Crunch Please help!!
Hi Need help in identifying the part numbers for the 2 part gear synchro rings. My mechanic has recommended that I replace the synchro rings , any help in finding the part number will be highly appreciated. I live in Sri Lanka, not able to find the parts here, need to place an online order hence the need for the exact part numbers.

My gearbox is a R380 (PUMA TDCI, 2.4 YOM 2010).

EDIT: Gearbox is MT82

If your Defender is a 2010 2.4 Puma, then the gearbox is a six speed MT82 (which is a Ford unit) and not a five speed R380. Darren

Sorry, clumsy fingers; that should have said MT82. Darren

I would use Ashcroft’s they’ll know what you need and what you maybe don’t. I’ve been dealing with them for years and have always been very helpful and efficient Thumbs Up
