Parts list to retro fit OEM aircon to 2.2 Puma
I've called a couple of LR dealerships and spoken to the chaps in parts. They don't seem able (or willing) to put a list of the parts together to price up. I naively thought that it would be possible for them to enter the chassis number somewhere and click on a kit to build the price....

If someone here has been through the exercise and has a definitive list of parts that would be excellent. I can guess at the big bits but the devil is in the detail.

Thanks,

Huttopia

I looked into this before they went out of production. Not only did I get no reply, but even sourcing on-line parts bins, ebay, specialists, scrap merchants etc, it was not only more expensive than the kit I ultimately bought from Devon 4x4, but more expensive as well. And honestly, I don't think I ever completed the set. Not worth the hassle.

Not cheap, but it's the full kit, with all the parts and guaranteed. Also comes in just one box!! I'm sure you'll find it somewhere where you can pay in installments etc. Thumbs Up Monsieur Le Grenadier

I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list.....

Thanks Gren, that looks like a sensible route to go down. I had a quote from the classics dept at JLR for supply and fitting.......a wallet busting £4800.

Now, the most important bit, does the kit have the button with A/C on it?! In fact, I could just fit the button and pretend for a while, a much cheaper option Rolling with laughter

It's as near as dammit the real thing, with the AC button and evryfing... Thumbs Up

My issue is fitting, no-one here can be bothered. Hence the posts with Dantastic about DIY. Would like it done before a (long, hot) trip to Spain in June, looking tight though. Big Cry Monsieur Le Grenadier

Hi Clive

Further to your earlier conversation with Reg, I hereby supply you with information regarding the TD5 and Puma engine air conditioning kits as promised.

Both front air conditioning kits retail at a price of £1595 + VAT to the customer, or £1795 + VAT for installation. I have attached copies of our installation instructions for both of these models which may help you. Unfortunately I have not received the magazine article via PDF version just yet or I would send that to you also as it shows a complete installation process including pictures. I will however send you this should it arrive in the near future.

I will also include details of our rear system for your reference and interest. These units retail at a price of £1295 + VAT, or £1495 + VAT for an installation, and whilst this version is air conditioning only, we will be launching the same unit later in the year for heating and also a combined heating and cooling unit.

Please do not hesitate to ask me for any more information you may require.

Best regards

Wendy

My kit was a Cooair Logan kit with a Britpart sticker on the box. I'm sure all kits come from the same crowd and just get a Britpart or Bearmark sticker.
